  • Ask your child if they have questions about IVF and give honest, age appropriate, answers. In time you can discuss other ways children become apart of families such as surrogacy, fostering, adoption, donors etc.

Hidden Gems

  • Cover is orange because orange represents the color of infertility

  • Picture of the Special Factory has a pineapple on top for the symbol for infertility (represents fertility clinic)

  • Throughout the book the colors "ROY G BIV" are used to represent my son being my rainbow child (baby born after pregnancy loss).

  • Faceless and colorless characters were purposely created so readers can imagine themselves/ loved ones because infertility has no specific gender or race.
